HTML tables provide a framework for arranging content, but they lack flexibility and take a considerable amount to display especially if they include nested tables. Absolute positioning uses the parents top left corner as the reference point. It creates a free agent and other elements in the page are laid out in the same way that occurs if the elements display is set to hidden. Relative positioning uses the elements regular position as the reference point Static is the default and is similar to relative except that it can not be displaced, i.e. top and left will have no effect
This paragraph has no positioning applied. As such it is treated as static and takes its natural place in the layout of the page content.
